Forward Madison visited Minneapolis, MN for their third preseason match of the season. They faced a Minnesota United 2 team that is part of the inaugural MLS Next Pro league, debuting later this year. Forward Madison and MNUFC2 battled back and forth in the first half with the Flamingos striking first off a beautiful ball into the box by Rojay Smith served to a Forward trialist for the goal.
The second half saw two goals from MNUFC2 off of free kicks, ultimately proving to be the difference in the match. Next up for FMFC, a home date behind closed doors on Saturday, March 19th against Chicago Fire 2.
