The Flamingos started en fuego, maintaining most of the possession. Derek Gebhard received the match’s first yellow card in the 10th minute of the match. Forward Madison FC striker, Christian Chaney, had to be subbed off in the 12th minute.
In the 24th minute, there were some technical difficulties. Forward Madison FC notched the first goal of the match in the 26th minute through Derek Gebhard. John Murphy Jr. followed up the scoring in the 42nd with a shot into the bottom corner from just beyond the 18-yard box. Fuego found themselves down to 10 men after a late challenge saw Carrera-Garcia receive a red card in the 61st minute. Forward Madison sustained their possession throughout the second half to see out their 3-0 victory over Central Valley Fuego FC.

“I was very happy with the performance and effort tonight after another really difficult travel day,” said Head Coach Matt Glaeser. “Really proud of the group’s resilience, it’s a positive result to build on.”
