MGE's Día de Fútbol Returning to Breese Stevens Field
Third Annual Event will feature “El Matador” Luis Hernández

Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), La Movida, and Breese Stevens Field have announced that Día de Fútbol will return to Breese Stevens Field on October 7, 2018. Admission is FREE.
This year’s family focused event will feature former Mexican National Team star Luis Hernández. Also known as "El Matador”, he ranks fourth in number of goals scored for the Mexico national football team. El Matador played in the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup. He is widely regarded as one of Mexico's most talented strikers. Hernández played for teams in Mexico, Argentina and the United States. He will be at Día de Fútbol to sign autographs and help with the soccer clinics.
MGE's Día de Fútbol is a celebration of soccer in the Madison community. It is sponsored by MGE in collaboration with La Movida Radio and hosted by Madison Pro Soccer at Breese Stevens Field in downtown Madison.
MGE exhibits will feature electric vehicles, energy efficiency and safety information, the MGE Spanish phone line and "Pedal Power," a unique bicycle for kids to learn about energy.
The event features food by La Rosita, Paradise Island, Fruit in a Cup – Los Altos de Jalisco, and a street corn vendor – José Lozano.

10:00am – Free soccer clinic starts on the field
11:30am – Luis Hernández will address the players in the clinic
12:00-12:30pm – Short program featuring MGE, La Movida, and Luis Hernández
12:30-5:30pm – Games on the field and Luis Hernández available for autographs between 12:30-2:30
5:30-6:00pm – Trophy and Awards presentation
