With the match being a friendly, we can expect to see a very different line up from the Flamingos this week bringing lots of excitement into this match.
Coaches:
Forward Madison FC
Head Coach: Matt Glaeser
Atlante FC
Head Coach: Mario Alberto Garcia Covalles
Key Players to Watch:
Martin Sanchez: We can expect to see Sanchez make his Forward Madison FC debut in goal this coming Thursday. With his strong shot stopping abilities, communication, and footwork, there’s no doubt that Sanchez won’t be a key player in the match.
Tino Vasquez: After making his first USL League One match appearance earlier this season, we can expect to see Vasquez hit the pitch again this Thursday. Being only 17 years old, Vasquez will bring a fun, youthful energy into the match. Scoring in a U.S. Open Cup Match against Chicago House we can expect to see some great attacking chances from Vasquez.
Mauro Cichero: With playing in many matches this season, Cichero will bring his experience into Thursday’s match. With his composure on the ball and shooting technique, we can look for Cichero causing problems for Atlante’s defense on Thursday.
Keys to the Match:
- Composure: With some new players entering the match for the ‘Mingos, and Atlante coming to Madison for the first time, composure will be key to keep the players calm in an exciting and new atmosphere. If a team is able to set the tempo early and get comfortable on the ball, they will be more successful in the match.
Previous and Next Match:
The Flamingos come into this match after a 2-2 tie on the road against North Carolina FC. Next up, Forward Madison will remain at home for a USL League One match on Wednesday, July 26th, at 6pm CT.
