Da Silva joins FMFC for the remainder of the 2023 season
MADISON, WI: Forward Madison FC has signed Pierre da Silva for the remainder of the 2023 season, pending league and federation approval. The 25-year-old da Silva joins a Forward Madison squad that is currently in 5th place in USL League One, entering the last three months of the season.
Pierre da Silva had a very successful youth career in the United States, ending with Orlando City’s youth program in 2016. His professional career began a season after, with a season-long loan to Orlando City B. In 2017, da Silva was ranked the No. 1 player in USL’s “20 Under 20” list. da Silva then went to have playing stints with Saint Louis FC, Athletico Paranaense of Brazil, Memphis 901, and last played in 2022 with Miami FC in the USL Championship.
“Pierre is a great player that we think will fit well into the Forward Madison system,” FMFC Head Coach Matt Glaeser said. “He’s eager to make an impact here in Madison.”da Silva is now eligible to be featured in Forward Madison’s remaining USL League One matches, including the home match on Wednesday, August 9th against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
