MADISON, WI: Forward Madison announced its release of two custom training tops as part of its partnership with Trek Bikes. The custom pieces will be featured as part of a team training collection for the remainder of the 2023 season. Both custom Trek Training Tops will be available to purchase immediately online and sold in-store for the final Forward Madison regular season home match on October 14th. The supporting training collection will be available for pre-order through October 20th, with delivery starting in early November.
“It’s always exciting getting to work on these two training top designs,” said Forward Madison Creative Director, Will Jenkins. “Trek really allows us to further step outside our norm and provide some unconventional sportswear designs.”
The first design was inspired by the ‘94 German World Cup Home Kit. “On a pink-based long sleeve, we took that signature diamond tiled pattern across the neckline, and put our spin on it by draping it over the shoulders instead to give our take on flamingo wings,” Jenkins said. With the second design, the hexagon was pulled from a match ball and mixed with different shapes and color combinations. “Once it started to look more like a kaleidoscope, I started applying it to mock designs to see how it would flow. When we got our kit samples in, we grew excited & knew it was something unique to the Forward Madison FC family of kits,” Jenkins said.
Trek is the official partner of the team’s training and traveling gear and established the club’s joining of the annual community Pride Ride honoring Madison’s LGBTQIA+ community. In 2022, Forward Madison released its Trek Bike Valet service, which offers free, safe bike storage for fans who ride a bike to FMFC home matches.
