Forward Madison FC Re-Sign Midfielder Aiden Mesias
MADISON, WI: Forward Madison FC has signed 24-year-old Aiden Mesias, pending league and federation approval.
The 5-foot-8 midfielder from London, England appeared in 30 games for the Pink and Blue and finished 2023 with two goals, eight shots, and an 88.9% passing accuracy. Mesias will continue to add his own flare and quick distribution to the Forward Madison center next season.
“Aiden came in this season and proved himself as a strong box-to-box midfielder in USL League One,” said Head Coach Matt Glaeser. “He’s still young and has a tremendous upside with his ability on the ball, awareness, movement, and work rate. We are happy to have him back for another season and expect to see continued growth in his overall game.”
For several years, the midfielder played for Queens Park Rangers, where he made 11 starts and scored 3 goals in 13 appearances. Following his stint with QPR, Mesias’ professional career kicked off when he signed with Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship. Then in 2022, Mesias followed in his father’s footsteps and joined SSV Ulm 1846 Fussball, a fourth-division German squad.
The ‘Mingos will play their first home match of the season on Saturday, April 13th against Henny Derby rivals, Richmond Kickers. Season tickets for the 2024 Forward Madison season are on sale now. Secure your seats to every match, including the Home Opener, here.
