MADISON, WISC. – The Madison College Athletics Department is excited to announce a new partnership with Forward Madison FC that makes the Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Sports Complex a training facility partner of the Flamingos for the majority of the upcoming 2024 season. The complex contains the state-of-the-art Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch-East, which Forward Madison FC will utilize on a near-daily basis as they prepare for their USL League One schedule.
“Having Forward Madison utilize the Goodman Sports Complex will continue to showcase the first-class facilities Madison College and WolfPack Athletics possess. Our goal is for this partnership to continue to grow the success of Forward Madison and Madison College Athletics simultaneously,” said Madison College Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Facilities and Operations Manager, Bill Kegler.
“We are pleased to partner with Madison College for the use of the Goodman Pitch,” said Forward Madison FC Director of Soccer Operations and Development, Keith Tiemeyer. “The facility provides us with a quality training surface and additional quality amenities such as locker room space and sports medicine treatment areas that will support FMFC in our preparation for the USL League One schedule. About the Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Sports Complex: The Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Sports Complex opened in 2017 and is utilized by Madison College’s men’s and women’s soccer teams and softball team. It also hosts games, tournaments, and practices for teams of all levels during much of the year, and is used by community partners on Madison’s East Side to engage youth in sports and educational enrichment activities.
