Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, Tuesday, November 6, 2018: Along with the public, Green Bay USL League Two has started the process to adopt a name, colors and crest. More than 100 submissions were made. Starting today, the fans will begin to identify which finalists will ultimately be considered.
Sixteen of the best, most popular and/or most interesting submissions have been chosen. Using a knockout tournament competition format these 16 names will ultimately be narrowed down to a name and colors that will represent Green Bay’s first pre-professional soccer club.
“When we announced that we are bringing pre-professional soccer to Green Bay, we made it clear that we want this to be a team the community can embrace and be involved with. By collecting name suggestions from fans and allowing the community to vote on the name, I believe the team will have a name that we can all be proud of. I look forward to seeing what name the fans select and getting into the community to share that new identity.”
